The project includes enabling, construction and associated temporary works necessary to facilitate the new cookline installation. The principal activities include: - Breaking out and excavation of existing internal and external slabs where required. - Construction of new and raised concrete slabs to suit the proposed equipment, access and finished floor requirements. - Installation and alteration of below-ground drainage systems. - Alterations to existing sewer tank pipework and associated drainage infrastructure. - Formation and alteration of door openings, including relocation of existing doors where required. - Installation of temporary access arrangements, including temporary staircases, walkways and loading areas. - Provision of temporary and permanent access around Cook Room 2. - Installation and management of scaffolding, loading bays and lifting arrangements where required. - Installation of temporary insulated segregation walls to Kepak requirements to separate construction activities from operational production areas. - Isolation, diversion and removal of existing services affected by the works. - Removal of existing ceiling elements following confirmation that associated services have been safely isolated and removed. - Installation and modification of mechanical, electrical, sprinkler and other building services associated with the new cookline. - New drainage and preparation of floors to receive the specified hygienic finishes. - Fire stopping and reinstatement of penetrations created or affected by the works. - Builders' work and making good associated with the cookline and specialist equipment installations. - Testing, commissioning, certification, snagging and final handover.
