Crown thin by no more than 20%, removing a proportion of small live branches from throughout the crown to achieve an even density of foliage around a well-spaced and balanced branch structure. Selective pruning to provide no more than 3m horizontal clearance from the roof of the principal dwelling at 23 Hallwood Close, and no more than 3m vertical clearance from the surface of the roof of the principal dwelling at 22 Hallwood Close, by removing or shortening secondary branches whilst ensuring a strong framework of healthy small-diameter branches and twigs (leaf-bearing structure), capable of producing dense leaf cover during the following growing season, is retained.
