Works to a tree with a TPO: Oak, estimated to be over 250 years old. Remove dead, detached, fractured or unstable branches exceeding 50 mm diameter where necessary to reduce an unacceptable risk to people or property, having regard to identified targets including the public highway, footway, parked vehicles, adjacent garden and property. Retain deadwood wherever it can safely be retained. Where necessary, selectively reduce fractured, unstable or heavily end-loaded branches by no more than 1 m, pruning back to suitable secondary growth, to reduce loading whilst retaining the natural veteran crown form. Retain inner-crown epicormic growth and developing secondary crown structure. All works to accord with BS 3998:2010 and appropriate veteran-tree management principles.
